Civil Partnerships And Their Dissolution
Since December 2005 the courts have had almost identical powers to redistribute property when a Civil Partnership is disolved by the Court as they do in relation to divorcing spouses (see Marraige Divorce and Property Redistribution). It is necessary to instruct a matrimonial lawyer who is sensitive to and understands the particular circumstances encountered by same sex families.
We offer fixed fee advice by phone / skype. Alternatively you can call at our offices for a face-to-face meeting with Richard.
We also offer fixed-fee representation if your case ends up in court. We are happy to represent you for a fixed fee so that you know costs will not spiral out of control. In some cases you will require the services of an experienced barrister, in which case their fee for the hearing will be charged separately.
We are also able to fixed fee advice upon pre-nuptial agreements so that those entering a Civil Partnership can have some control over how their assets are divided up if things do not work out.
